This is a slideshow I created about the book To Kill A Mockingbird which we read in English class. This book was really interesting to me because it talks about how times were back then and how racism was like. I like how it's told from Scout's point of view because it shows us how children saw things. My favorite part was when Boo Radley was finally revealed because he was a secret the whole time and everyone thought he was dangerous and he turned out to be a hero since he helped Scout and Jem. The book shows how intrigued Scout was by the tale that would go around town about Boo and at first, she was somewhat scared but then she realizes he's not a bad person he just has a bad reputation.
This is a presentation we needed to create about what we believe needs to change in our community. My partner Irina and I decided to talk about the gangs and violence in Watsonville. We created this presentation to show how others are affected by gangs. We interviewed councilwoman Trina Coffman-Gomez about this issue and what she believes is being done to improve our community.
