In this class, we learned how to create and correct income statements, statements of owner's equity, balance sheets, etc I enjoyed this class because my dad does taxes so I got a feel for what he does on a day to day basis. This class was difficult because it took a long time to try and get the numbers to match on both sides and for them to all add up/equal each other. Although it was difficult, it was a pretty fun class. All of our classmates would come together and help each other out when one of the balance sheets was too hard to do or when we had trouble with the income statements. In this class we learned a lot about something that matters outside of high school. This class made me feel like I was getting prepared for the "real world". It also made it possible for me to help my dad at his work over the summer and during tax season. Before I would just clean his office or help him file papers but now I can help him do balance sheets and income statements. My dad also enjoyed helping me with my homework for economics. We wouldn't really get actual homework assignments only when we didn't finish some of the worksheets. But, when i didn't finish the worksheets and I needed help he would help me understand it better which was good because we kind of bonded. I learned how to think critically and how to be a self directed learner. I would ask my classmates for help but they would also ask me for help. I would have to go back to the numbers I got and double check them sometimes even triple check them until they all made sense.
